Two Apples

This picture of 2 apples was painted this afternoon during my Thursday afternoon painting group.  This is my inaguration painting - the beginning of my blog which "tracks" my daily adventures with media.
This painting is 6" x 8" and is painted on 140 lb. Arches cold-pressed watercolor paper.  It is taken from a Wet Canvas reference library photo.

You piqued my curiosity on your watercolor blog so I just had to come on over and see what this one was about! I wish you well in your attempt to create something every day, I think that would help all of us but, right now, I don't feel the need for having more pressure on myself so I will be lazy and just watch you!

Both your apples here and the pear on the other blog are super! So simply painted but so nice.

Susan...I am so happy that you made the trip over to this blog - you are the first to comment on this blog! Yes - I am placing pressure on myself - I guess that is part of it! I may not get something everyday - but I am going to try!
Thanks so much for checking it out!

Barb, Good for you! Your apples are yummy. You sure do know how to take a ordinary subject and make it extraordinary! I am looking forward to seeing every one of your daily pieces of art. I love this background!

Lovely! So realistic, makes me want an apple for my snack.

Norena and Coni - thank you so much for your support and wonderful comments. Norena - this background was one of the options for the blog. I just 'happened' to find it. It's perfect, isn't it?
