I finally finished this painting that I started several weeks ago. The painting is 9" x 12" and is painted on a canvas panel in oil paint. There was a lot more to this painting than I first anticipated - much architectural detail - and I left out a bunch too! It is a nice memory of a nice afternoon sketching in Columbus while Michelle and Jody painted.
Welcome to Barb's Daily Creations! I have lofty ambitions - I want to post a new drawing or painting every day. The purpose of this, of course is to stay creative and on task artistically even when I may not feel the muses calling, prodding and pushing. I hope that you enjoy my humble efforts, because, ultimately, that is the purpose of creating art - to enrich lives - mine and yours. Thanks for visiting!
Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year.

Wonderful job, Barb. This does look so much like that house on my street.
Yes! This is such a typical German or even Danish house. I love the colors and the fact that you painted it in such a realistic way.
Thanks for your comments, Granny!
Carol - glad you like it. It looks like houses from my youth in Cleveland, also - nostalgic!
I wasn't aware that this was typical for German - glad to know that and also Thanks for you nice comments!
