Basket of Vegetables

I finished this yesterday, but was unable to post because Blogger was down.  This painting was created for Watercolor Workshop for their "All paint from one photo" project for May.  I am also going to use it for my Monday night class this Monday evening. It is 10" x 10" and is painted on 140 lb. Fabriano Artistico cold-pressed watercolor paper.

Thanks, Carol! I left that till the last because I felt it would be the most difficult...it was - I wasn't quite sure how to handle it.I am glad you like it.

Barb, you handled the brickwork wonderfully! The vegetables look so real!Great job.

Thanks, Christiane...I knew if I made the bricks too dark or detailed, they would detract from the focal point - so I did them cautiously! :)

This is a stunning piece! You put that brick wall in there which could have been a mistake but you pushed it back and still made it interesting - and the vegetables are so fresh and perfect, I want to pick one out of the basket!!
