Tulip Magnolia WIP #1

I have had a busy day preparing paintings for my solo show that starts this weekend.  I have to deliver my paintings to the gallery on Wednesday, so things have been hectic.  I did have some time to start this little painting for my daily 'creation' - another evening should finish it.  It is 5 " x 7" and is painted on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper.

wOW, It's already beautiful! Quite intricate and challenging for a "daily creation". You put the bar very high.

Beautiful start and here's wishing you a great show - with no snow storms your way. And congratulations on being voted Watercolor Workshop's Artist of the Year!!!

Christiane...I was hoping that it would be a "daily" creation, but soon found out that it was going to take longer - so will try to finish it today. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Rhonda...We are taking the paintings to St. Mary's tomorrow and the show will be hung on Thursday - thank goodness I don't have to do that! Thank you for your congratulations - as I said in my e-mail to the group - I was blown away - truly didn't expect this.
