Analogous Dancers

The January Project for Watercolor Workshop is to do a painting in 3 analogous colors.  I chose red-violet, violet and blue-violet.  The painting is 12" x 9" and is painted on 140 lb. cold-pressed  watercolor paper.
This  painting, like an earlier one from last week,  is also of Makeda dancers.

Barb, I love the strong but graceful verticals against the strong diagonals in this. I do think I prefer the looseness of the first painting more, though. It seemed to project more movement and dance than the stronger lines of the second one. Just my opinion, though, as they both are so well-done!

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Susan - the first is a much better painting than this one. As I said on WcW, there also is much too much salt! I went crazy!!!
Your opinion means a lot to me!!!
