I finished this today - it is the January project for Watercolor Workshop - All paint from one photo!
This painting is 11" x 14" and is painted on 140 lb. cold-pressed Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper. It is watercolor and watercolor pencil.
Welcome to Barb's Daily Creations! I have lofty ambitions - I want to post a new drawing or painting every day. The purpose of this, of course is to stay creative and on task artistically even when I may not feel the muses calling, prodding and pushing. I hope that you enjoy my humble efforts, because, ultimately, that is the purpose of creating art - to enrich lives - mine and yours. Thanks for visiting!

Nice work!
God, I just re-read my earlier post to you, and am so embarrassed that I didn't proof it. The though is still there, if you can decipher it!
Lets share a laugh over this one, Dee! :-)
To answer your question...I started using the watercolor pencils this fall when I became ill and was confined to a recliner in the living room - I found that I liked working with them. So now that I am back in my studio, I am continuing to use them - in addition to my watercolors. They are good for cleaning up edges and for adding texture - like in the grass in this painting.
This is a beautiful rendition of the painting most have done - upping the warmth and texture and it just feels very welcoming :)
Thanks so much for the positive comment- I wanted it to be somewhat different and decided that the way to do that was through color choices.
