This painting is one of two I prepared for the demonstration in Cincinnati for the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society on October 2nd. I finally finished it over the weekend. I started the process by drawing the flower using a grid, and then continued by pouring with acrylic inks. I finished with negative painting techniques in transparent watercolor. The painting is 18" x 22" and is painted on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper. It is painted with permission from a source photograph from my friend, Deb Holmes in Florida, who is an excellent photographer who generously shares her pictures with me.
