Decorative Rooster in Watercolor and Ink

Today I finished a painting of a rooster that I started while teaching a class this last session at Riverside Arts Center.  I always paint along with my students.  I decided that I would use a decorative approach to finish this painting and used an extra-thin black Sharpie marker to add the detailing textural effects.  This painting is 9" x 12" and is on 140 lb. cold-pressed Fabriano-Artistico watercolor paper.  I had originally posted a painting of the same rooster, but in a different style.

BARB, YOU'D LAUGH BECAUSE MY KITCHEN IS FILLED WITH A COLLECTION OF ROOSTERS. MY DAUGHTERS BEST FRIENDS HUBBY DIED AND SHE JUST SOLD HER HOUSE ABOUT A MONTH AGO. SHE ASK MY DAUGHTER IF I WOULD LOVE SOME OF HER JUNK TO HELP TO DECORATE OUR HOME THAT WE HAD JUST MOVED INTO. I'D WANTED FOR A LONG LONG TIME TO MOVE OUT OF OUR OTHER HOME AND GET CLOSER TO MY DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY. SO ANYWAYS, I'VE GOT A ROOSTER HERE AND A ROOSTER THERE. ALL KIDDING ASIDE THE KITCHEN LOOKS FINE.I EVEN HAVE A ROOSTER LAMP. JUST AS CUTE AS CAN BE IF YOU LIKE ROOSTERS.LOL
